What this site is
WebFin publishes research about web hosting providers: what their plans cost over time, who owns them, and what their terms actually say.
We are an independent publisher. We are not a hosting provider, a reseller, or an agent for any company we write about, and we have no business relationship with any provider beyond the affiliate arrangements described on our disclosure page.
Accuracy, and its limits
Every figure here is sourced to a named source with a date, and we re-verify prices and ownership claims quarterly.
Even so, prices published here will sometimes be out of date. Hosting companies change prices without notice, rename plans, run regional promotions, and quote different figures on different pages of their own websites — we have documented that happening. A price we recorded accurately in August may be wrong in October.
Always check the current price on the provider’s own site before buying. Our figures tell you what to look for and what questions to ask. They are not a quote, and we cannot honour a price we did not set.
If you find something wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
Our ratings are opinions
Scores on this site are our editorial judgement, applied through the criteria published on our about page. Another reviewer weighting things differently would reach different conclusions, and reasonable people disagree about what matters in hosting.
Nothing here is a guarantee that a provider will perform well for you, and nothing here is professional, legal, or financial advice.
Your decisions are yours
Choosing a host is your decision, and the contract you enter is between you and that provider. We are not a party to it.
We are not responsible for anything a provider does or fails to do — downtime, data loss, price increases, support quality, billing disputes, account suspension, or terms they change after you sign up. Take those to the provider.
Third-party links
We link to providers, source documents, and third-party research. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, or what they do with your data once you arrive.

The writing, research, tables, and analysis on this site belong to us.
You may quote us. If you do, name WebFin and link to the specific page you took it from, so your readers can reach the sources we cited. Republishing whole articles, or reproducing our tables and comparisons wholesale, is not permitted without permission.
Provider names and logos belong to their owners and appear here for identification.
Availability
We make no promise that this site will be available or error-free at any given moment. It may go down, and we may change or remove content without notice.
