GreenGeeks Review (2026): The Green Claim Checks Out
Most environmental claims in hosting cannot be checked. This one reportedly has been. The renewal prices are a separate matter entirely.
Independent reviews of individual web hosts, built on published data rather than our own lab tests. Each one sets the promotional price against the renewal price, works out what three years actually costs, and names the company that owns the brand.

Every host in these reviews raises its price after the first term. This one has a multiplier of exactly one, and a reviewer has now tested that through two renewals.
Hostwinds advertises an uptime figure that allows 32 seconds of downtime a year. No independent benchmark we could find has measured it.
The benchmark that has tracked Rocket.net for five years once called it the fastest host it had tested. It now scores the same host 6.1 out of 10.
ChemiCloud has the lowest three-year total we have calculated and a renewal that nearly quintuples. Both follow from the promotion covering the whole window.
Scala Hosting quadruples its shared renewal and still sells managed VPS at a third of what competitors charge for the same cores and memory.
Liquid Web sells no shared hosting at all. It also belongs to a private equity group that owns both the hosting and a portfolio of WordPress plugins.
IONOS advertises hosting at a dollar a month. The plan renews at fourteen, and the second year costs $336.
Namecheap renews its entry shared plan at $4.88 a month, roughly half what the next cheapest host charges. It also has no phone line at any tier.
This site exists to publish renewal prices. For InMotion Hosting we could not find one, and eight sources describe the increase without naming it.
