Hostinger vs InterServer (2026): Cheaper Every Single Month

In practice, every comparison on this site has a crossover. One host leads, then the other takes over, and the article is about where that happens.

This one has none. InterServer costs less than Hostinger in month one, in month 48, in month 120, and in every month between.

Why There Is No Crossover

Of course, InterServer charges $2.50 a month and does not change it. Hostinger charges $2.99 for 48 months and then $10.99.

The opening rate is already lower, so there is nothing to catch up. The renewal then removes any possibility of a reversal.

Twelve months costs $35.88 against $30.00. Three years costs $107.64 against $90.00. Ten years costs $934.80 against $300.00.

⚠️ That last figure is the point of the whole comparison. Across a decade one plan costs more than three times the other.

The Short Answer

InterServer on price, Hostinger on evidence, and the scores land at 4.2 against 4.1. The same InterServer figures set against SiteGround are in our SiteGround and InterServer comparison.

The only real constraint at InterServer is geography: two data centers, both American.

The Multiplier Is Exactly One

InterServer’s multiplier is 1.00. At the other end IONOS reaches 14.00, and Hostinger sits at 3.68.

More unusually, that figure has been tested. A published account describes hosting six production sites on the Standard plan since October 2024, passing renewal dates in April 2025 and April 2026 with the rate holding at $2.50 both times.

⚠️ That is a pricing claim verified by the event it describes rather than by reading a page — the full field is here.

One 2026 review does note conflicting information about a $7.00 renewal. We report it because it exists, not because it outweighs eighteen months of completed renewals. The same InterServer figures set against Newfold Digital’s Bluehost are in our Bluehost and InterServer comparison.

Where Hostinger Is Ahead

Three places, and none of them is price.

For instance, the benchmarking project we cite in every review ranks Hostinger Business fifth of 34 hosts at 223 milliseconds globally, and Hostinger Premium twenty-eighth at 495. InterServer does not appear in that project at all.

Its data centers sit in Secaucus and Los Angeles only. Hostinger’s infrastructure is European at its core with locations across several continents, which matters if your visitors are not American.

Hostinger also includes email hosting, WHOIS privacy and a free domain on annual plans. InterServer includes unlimited storage, bandwidth, email accounts and websites on one plan with no tiers.

The Regional Split

InterServer’s published figures put load times under 700 milliseconds by one source and under 1.5 seconds by another, both for shared hosting. The same InterServer figures against a Cloudways server are in our Cloudways and InterServer comparison.

Meanwhile, its two locations mean performance is strongest in North America and acceptable across Western Europe. For visitors in Asia or South America it is a poor fit, and nothing in the pricing changes that.

Hostinger’s own published figures include 246 milliseconds server response and 707 milliseconds time to first byte from the same test window, which measure different things about one visit.

Neither host is fast enough for that to decide this. The price arithmetic is not close, and the geography is the real constraint.

What the Flat Price Costs You

In short, simplicity has a price, and here it is features.

Besides, there is no staging environment, no server-level WordPress caching and no specialized WordPress support. One-click installation and automatic core updates are the extent of it.

The company runs servers at no more than 50 percent capacity by its own account, which is a policy claim rather than a measurement. It would explain the consistent uptime figures if true.

When to Choose Hostinger Instead

Your visitors are outside North America and Western Europe, where two data centers are not enough.

You want a host that appears in the benchmark we cite throughout, which is an evidence argument rather than a speed one.

You are buying for a year or two and the $5.88 to $17.64 difference does not move you. Inside that window the two are close.

How We Research

Every figure comes from the two underlying reviews, where each is attributed to a named source with its window. Where a host appears in a ranking under more than one plan, we say which plan the pricing describes. Where a pricing claim has been tested by an actual renewal, we say that too.

We run no tests of our own. Our criteria are on our About page. The long versions are in our Hostinger review and our InterServer review.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which is cheaper, Hostinger or InterServer?

InterServer, in every month. Twelve months costs $30.00 against $35.88, three years $90.00 against $107.64, and ten years $300.00 against $934.80. The lines never cross, which does not happen when one host starts cheaper and never renews.

Does InterServer really never raise its price?

Published accounts say so. One reviewer hosted six production sites from October 2024 through renewal dates in April 2025 and April 2026 with the rate holding at $2.50. One other source notes conflicting information about a $7.00 renewal.

Which is faster?

Hostinger by the available evidence, though the comparison is uneven. It ranks fifth of 34 hosts on its Business plan and twenty-eighth on Premium. InterServer does not appear in that benchmark, and its published load times run under 700 milliseconds.

Which is better outside North America?

Hostinger. InterServer runs data centers in New Jersey and Los Angeles only, so performance is strongest in North America and acceptable across Western Europe. Elsewhere it is a poor fit.

What does each plan include?

InterServer sells one plan with unlimited storage, bandwidth, email accounts and websites. Hostinger includes email hosting, WHOIS privacy and a free domain on annual plans, with tiers above the entry plan.

The Verdict

InterServer on price, Hostinger on evidence, and the scores land at 4.2 against 4.1.

In truth, we rank Hostinger higher because it appears in a benchmark and InterServer does not. That is a statement about what we can verify rather than about which is faster. Our page on Kinsta against InterServer covers a locked $2.50 plan beside a $35.00 one.

⚠️ On cost there is nothing to discuss. One plan is cheaper in every month of a ten-year window, and by year ten it costs a third as much.
