This is the shortest answer in the series, and it is about scope rather than quality. The plans in our tables are managed WordPress plans: one site, 25,000 monthly visits, a container per site and Cloudflare Enterprise in front. A WordPress platform hosts WordPress. If the company sells other products that could run Magento, we have not priced or measured them, so we do not rate them here.
Is Kinsta Right for Magento? The Short Answer
No, on the managed WordPress plans we price. Magento needs a shell for Composer, gigabytes of memory for a compile, cron every minute and a separate search service. A WordPress-shaped platform is not built to provide those.
Buy a server instead. Cloudways starts at $14.00 a month, Scala’s VPS at $36.00 a year per processor core, and Liquid Web at $33.00 a month.
What Our Tables Actually Cover
Plans, not the whole company. We record Kinsta Starter at $35.00 a month flat, 25,000 monthly visits, chat and tickets around the clock and no telephone line.
Measurements for those plans. A load test at 40 ms with every request answered, and a WordPress benchmark score of 8.8 of 10. The origin first byte is 525 ms, which our page on Kinsta for WordPress works through.
Nothing about other products. If you are considering something else from the same company, ask support directly. Treat any answer as unmeasured until somebody publishes figures.
⚠️ We would rather leave a gap than fill it with an assumption. That is the same rule that keeps our ownership row for this company empty.

Why a WordPress Platform Cannot Answer Magento
No shell for Composer. Magento is installed and updated through it, and a managed WordPress platform does not offer one for that purpose.
No separate search service. Magento 2.4 requires OpenSearch or Elasticsearch running beside the application.
No room for a compile. Adobe’s guidance for building static content is measured in gigabytes of memory.
A meter built for articles. 25,000 monthly visits counted per session describes a content site, not a catalog with faceted browsing.

If You Want This Platform, Change the Store
Kinsta’s advantages are real: isolation in a container, an edge network included, application monitoring in the plan, and a price that does not move. All of those apply to WooCommerce.
So the honest alternative is to run the shop on WordPress rather than to fight the platform. Our page on Kinsta for WooCommerce covers that case. It includes the two figures that describe a checkout, and the visit meter that decides whether the platform suits your traffic.
What to Buy for Magento Instead
Cloudways. The first yes in this series, with two conditions. Size above the entry configuration, and confirm the search service in writing, because our tables do not record it. Our page on Cloudways for Magento covers both.
Scala Hosting’s VPS. Root access with resources priced per unit at $36.00 a year per processor core and $12.00 per gigabyte, adjustable as the store grows.
Liquid Web. Managed VPS from $33.00 a month on annual billing with dedicated resources, a 59-second response commitment and 100% network uptime backed by credits. Reviews this year dispute the response promise, and no benchmark we cite measures its servers.
A cloud platform. Outside what we review, as our list of hosting for SaaS startups says plainly, and often the right destination for a large deployment.
The same reasoning applies to the cheaper shared plans in this series, where the answer was also no. Our page on Bluehost for Magento, a Newfold Digital brand, settles it with published inode limits.
And our page on SiteGround for Magento settles it on architecture despite good measurements.
Worth asking before shopping for hosting. Magento pays off on large catalogs, complex pricing rules, several storefronts and multi-currency trading.
With fifty products and one currency it is a platform tax. More infrastructure, more maintenance and more specialist time, for a store WooCommerce would run on a cheap plan. Our list of hosting for ecommerce ranks hosts by the load test a checkout actually depends on.
Five Questions for Any Magento Host
What is the per-process memory limit? In writing, and compared against Adobe’s compile guidance.
Is a search service provided, or do I run it? Either answer is workable; not knowing is not.
Do I get a shell and cron on my own schedule? Both, or the platform is the wrong shape.
What does managed include? Server patches almost certainly; Magento upgrades almost certainly not, which our page on managed against unmanaged hosting works through.
How do I rehearse an upgrade? Staging, and a database you can copy, which our guide to fixing a slow database covers for the year-two version of the problem.

The Migration Question
If you are already on Magento and looking at platforms like this one, the real decision is whether to move the store or move the platform. Replatforming from Magento to WooCommerce is a project, not a migration: products, rules, integrations and URLs all have to be mapped.
Price that work before pricing hosting, because it normally dwarfs the monthly difference. Our guide to migrating web hosting covers the simpler case of moving the same store between hosts.
And our guide to pointing a domain to a new host covers the switch itself.
How We Research
We run no tests. The figures here come from Hostingstep’s reviews and benchmarks published this year, and describe the managed WordPress plans we price. Magento’s requirements come from Adobe’s documentation for version 2.4.
Prices, visit allowances, inclusions and support channels come from the providers’ own pages, read on 20 September 2026, and sit in our tables. We do not rate products we have not priced, and ownership of this company is not established in the sources we read. The criteria behind our scores are on our about page, and the full workings are in our Kinsta review.
Kinsta for Magento FAQ
Not on the managed WordPress plans we price, which host WordPress. If the company offers other products for applications, we have not priced or measured them and do not rate them here.
Because the figures describe a WordPress platform. Magento needs a shell for Composer and gigabytes of memory for a compile. It also needs cron every minute and a separate search service, none of which a WordPress-only plan provides.
A server. Cloudways from $14.00 a month billed hourly, with the search service confirmed and the size above entry. Or Scala’s VPS at $36.00 a year per core, or Liquid Web from $33.00 a month.
Yes: run the shop on WooCommerce instead of Magento. The container, the included network and the monitoring all apply, and the constraint becomes the 25,000-visit meter rather than the platform.
It pays off on large catalogs, complex pricing rules and several storefronts. With fifty products and one currency it costs more in infrastructure and specialist time than it returns.
The Verdict
A managed WordPress platform hosts WordPress, and that is the whole answer for the plans we price. It is not a criticism: the container, the included network and the monitoring are genuine strengths, and they are strengths for a different application.
For Magento, buy a server sized to a compile and confirm the search service before paying. For this platform, bring WooCommerce instead. And before either, check that Magento is the right platform for a catalog your size. Our page on what web hosting costs prices the alternatives across three years.
