Cart, checkout and account pages cannot be cached. They are different for every visitor, so they reach the server every time. Hosts matched to the stage of a store are in the best hosting for ecommerce.
Yet almost every speed figure a host advertises measures cached pages. For a store, those numbers describe the wrong half of the site.
Which Pages a Store Cannot Cache
Product listings and blog posts cache well. They look identical to everyone, so an edge network can hold a copy.
A cart holds one person’s items. A checkout holds one person’s address. An account page holds one person’s orders. None of that can be shared.
We found this most clearly at one host whose entire product is an enterprise content network. Cached pages arrived in 85 milliseconds; its origin measured 310.

The Short Answer
Scala Hosting on the load evidence, Rocket.net on the origin figure. Those are the only two good results we could attribute to a named test.
Of course, both come with caveats. We set them out below rather than in a footnote.
What the Load Tests Actually Found
In practice, only eight hosts in our tables carry a figure about load or origin response. Here is every one of them.

Four of those eight failed outright. One timed out at 100 concurrent users, one returned a 4.2 percent error rate, one recorded 1,512 milliseconds on a single day, and one could not complete the test.
Therefore half the hosts with any load evidence at all are unsuitable for a store. That is a sharper filter than any feature list.
Scala Hosting, on the Load Evidence
A k6 load test recorded 29 milliseconds at the 95th percentile under fifty concurrent users. No other host in our tables carries a percentile figure under load at all. For stores that expect spikes, the best hosting for high traffic ranks hosts by the load test.
Separately, a live site with 40,000 monthly visitors recorded 99.97 percent uptime across twelve months. Two different kinds of evidence, both attributed.
Its VPS is priced per unit: $36.00 a year per processor core and $12.00 per gigabyte, adjustable at any time.
The caveat. Its shared Mini plan renews at $11.95 from $2.95, a 4.1 times increase over 12 months. For a store, buy the VPS rather than the shared tier.
Rocket.net, on the Origin Figure
Its origin measured 310 milliseconds across a twelve-month test. Kinsta’s origin measured 525 milliseconds, and origin is what checkout hits.
Its renewal is also gentle: $25.00 rising to $30.00 after 12 months.
Two caveats. The entry plan allows 25,000 monthly visits with overage handling above that. And the benchmark tracking it since 2020 now scores it 6.1 of 10, with its hardware score fallen from 8.5 to 7.5.
Four Hosts to Avoid for a Store
HostGator, owned by Newfold Digital since 2021, timed out at 100 concurrent users in a twelve-month test. A modest sale reaches that number.
ChemiCloud recorded load of 1,068 milliseconds at a 4.2 percent error rate. One order in twenty-four failing is not a rounding error.
IONOS recorded 1,512 milliseconds on a single day, with a timeout confirmed. Its renewal also multiplies by 14 after 12 months.
GoDaddy shared could not complete the load test at all. That is an absence of data rather than a poor result, and for a store it reads the same way.
The Visit Ceiling Nobody Reads
Managed hosts meter by monthly visits rather than by disk. The entry tier sits at 25,000 visits at Rocket.net, WP Engine and Kinsta alike. Our page on Kinsta for WooCommerce covers two figures that describe a checkout differently.
A store running paid traffic passes that in a week. Above the ceiling the host adds overage charges, so the bill moves with the campaign.

| InMotion Core | One site, 10 email accounts, SSD storage; NVMe from Launch | TechRadar and a 2026 review |
| SiteGround shared | Shell access by tier — not recorded | Not stated on the plan pages we read, 20 Sep 2026 |
| Bluehost shared | Shell access by tier — not recorded | Not stated on the plan pages we read, 20 Sep 2026 |
| Hostinger, all plans | Shell access by tier — not recorded | Not stated on the plan pages we read, 20 Sep 2026 |
| Cloudways servers | Search service (OpenSearch, Elasticsearch) — not recorded | Not stated on the plan pages we read, 20 Sep 2026 |
In other words, a visit ceiling turns hosting from a fixed cost into a variable one. Read it before the campaign, not after.
Four Checks Before You Buy
Ask for the origin figure. Not the cached number, not the edge number. Ask what an uncached page costs in milliseconds.
Ask what happens under load. Fifty concurrent users is an ordinary sale, and four hosts above could not hold it.
Read the visit ceiling. Then read what happens above it, because that clause decides your bill.
Check the renewal, not the intro. Multipliers in our tables run from 1.0 to 14.0, and the term matters as much as the number.

What This Costs Across Three Years
Scala Hosting’s shared Mini plan comes to $322.20 across 36 months. Rocket.net’s Starter plan comes to $1,020.00.
For comparison, ChemiCloud reaches $89.64 across the same period. A store pays for load headroom, and that is what the gap buys.

How We Research
Every figure here comes from our own tables, each row naming the project that measured it and the window it covered, checked on 12 September 2026. We run no tests of our own.
Where a host has no load or origin figure at all, we leave it out rather than guess. That is why this page names eight hosts and not twenty. Our criteria are on our About page.
Best Hosting for WooCommerce FAQ
Because cart, checkout and account pages differ for every visitor, so no cache can hold them. They reach the server every time. At one host cached pages arrived in 85 milliseconds while its origin measured 310.
Scala Hosting. A k6 load test recorded 29 milliseconds at the 95th percentile under fifty concurrent users, and a live site with 40,000 monthly visitors recorded 99.97 percent uptime across twelve months.
Four in our tables failed on load. HostGator timed out at 100 concurrent users, ChemiCloud returned a 4.2 percent error rate, IONOS recorded 1,512 milliseconds on one day, and GoDaddy shared could not complete the test.
Managed hosts meter plans by monthly visits instead of disk space. Rocket.net, WP Engine and Kinsta all set 25,000 on their entry tiers, and traffic above that adds overage charges to the bill.
Scala Hosting’s shared Mini plan reaches $322.20 and Rocket.net’s Starter plan $1,020.00. ChemiCloud reaches $89.64 over the same period, so a store pays several times more for load headroom.
The Verdict
Judge a store host on origin response and load behaviour. Everything else is a measurement of pages your customers pass through on the way to the ones that matter.
On that basis two hosts stand up and four fall over. Scala Hosting holds the best load result, Rocket.net the lowest origin figure.
Both carry caveats we have named. Neither is cheap, and for a store that is the point.
