A scope note first, because it changes what this page can honestly say. We price hosting, not content delivery networks, so we will not rank vendors we have no data for. What our tables do contain is better evidence than most comparisons manage: the same host measured with and without a network in front of it. Hostinger Premium records 495 ms globally and ranks 28th of 34; Business, which adds the network, records 223 ms and ranks fifth.
Best CDN: The Short Answer
Check whether your host already includes one before you buy anything. Kinsta and Rocket.net put Cloudflare Enterprise in front of every plan, and Hostinger includes a network on Business. Bluehost, a Newfold Digital brand, delivers cached pages at 224 ms across 40 locations.
If your host has none and your readers are spread out, add a network yourself. Setting the bypass rules properly matters more than which vendor you pick.
What the Numbers Show
The same company, twice. 495 ms against 223 ms is one host, one platform, one difference. That is the cleanest measurement of what an edge network does for cached pages.
Bundled networks measure well. Rocket.net records cached delivery at 85 ms globally over a twelve-month test, and WP Engine ranks first of 34 hosts at 65 ms. Bluehost records 224 ms across 40 locations.
Hosts without one sit higher. SiteGround records 632 ms globally and ranks 22nd of 34, and Scala Hosting 501 ms. Both are fine nationally and worth a network for an international audience.
⚠️ One warning from the same project: GreenGeeks advertises Cloudflare integration and the benchmark reports finding no integrated network. Verify in your own dashboard rather than on a feature list.

Who Already Has One
Kinsta. Cloudflare Enterprise on every plan, at $35.00 a month flat with 25,000 monthly visits included.
Rocket.net. The same arrangement, with cached delivery measured at 85 ms globally, which our comparison of Kinsta against Rocket.net covers alongside its other figures.
Hostinger Business. The tier above Premium, and the reason our page on Hostinger for WordPress recommends Business for anyone with overseas readers.
Bluehost. Cached delivery at 224 ms across 40 locations without buying anything extra, which our page on Bluehost for WordPress covers.
When You Need a Separate Provider
Your host has none and your readers are distant. The clearest case, and our guide to setting up a CDN covers the steps.
You serve large media. Video and big downloads belong on a delivery service rather than a hosting plan, which our list of hosting for podcasts explains with the arithmetic.
You need rules the bundled network will not give you. Custom cache keys, geographic routing, image transformation at the edge.
The bundled network turns out not to exist. See the GreenGeeks note above.

How to Choose One Without a Ranking
Coverage where your readers are. A network with many locations in North America does little for an audience in Southeast Asia. Check the map against your analytics rather than against a marketing page.
The pricing model. Bandwidth, requests, or a flat tier. A media-heavy site and an article site produce very different bills on the same plan.
Bypass control. You must be able to exclude cart, checkout, account pages and the admin area, which our guide to configuring caching covers in detail.
Purge behavior. Publishing should clear the right pages automatically, which matters most on sites that publish often, as our list of hosting for news sites explains.
Certificate handling. The network normally terminates TLS, so renewal and validation move there. Our page on SSL certificates covers why renewal is the failure that matters.
The Free Tier Question
Most standalone networks have a free or cheap entry plan. For a brochure site or a blog, that tier covers the job. The paid tiers buy rules, analytics and support rather than fundamentally faster delivery.
So start free, measure from where your readers actually are, and upgrade only when a specific rule or report is missing. Our guide to testing your site speed properly covers choosing test locations that reflect your audience rather than flattering the result.
What a Network Will Not Fix
Uncached pages. A cart, a checkout, a member area and an admin screen all reach the server whatever sits in front. Rocket.net’s own figures make the point: 85 ms cached against 310 ms at the origin, with the checkout bypassing the cache.
A slow query. The database is behind the network, not in it, which our guide to fixing a slow database covers.
A heavy page. Delivering four megabytes quickly is still four megabytes.
A broken cache configuration. An edge network copies whatever you configured, mistakes included, to every country you serve.
Four Situations
A blog read in one country. Skip it. Fix caching and image sizes first.
A publication with international readers. A bundled network if your host has one, or your own if not, as our roundup of hosting for bloggers covers.
Stores selling across borders. Network for the catalog, and size the server for the checkout, which our list of hosting for ecommerce covers.
A media library. A delivery service rather than a hosting plan, whatever the CDN decision.

How We Research
We run no tests and we do not rank content delivery networks. The delivery figures here come from Hostingstep. Global rankings across 40 locations are from its 2026 benchmarks, and the Rocket.net cached and origin figures from a twelve-month test to March 2026.
The Bluehost figure is from its July 2026 review, and the WP Engine ranking from its 2025 list.
Named networks appear only where a host bundles them, such as Cloudflare Enterprise at Kinsta and Rocket.net. Standalone providers are outside what we review, so we describe how to evaluate one rather than ranking vendors we have no data for. The criteria behind our scores are on our about page.
CDN FAQ
For cached pages read at a distance, yes. The clearest evidence in our tables is one host measured twice: Hostinger Premium at 495 ms globally against Business at 223 ms with a network included.
Kinsta and Rocket.net put Cloudflare Enterprise in front of every plan. Hostinger includes one on Business, and Bluehost, a Newfold Digital brand, delivers cached pages at 224 ms across 40 locations.
Because we price hosting rather than networks, and ranking vendors we have no measurements for would be guesswork. We describe what to compare instead: coverage, pricing model, bypass rules, purge behavior and certificates.
Anything uncached. Carts, checkouts, member areas and admin screens reach the server regardless, which Rocket.net’s own figures show: 85 ms cached against 310 ms at the origin.
Verify it. The same benchmark project reports finding no integrated network at GreenGeeks despite advertised Cloudflare integration, so check your dashboard rather than the feature list.
The Verdict
The honest version of this page is short. Look at what your host already includes. Four hosts in our tables bundle a network, and one of them shows the benefit in a single before-and-after: 495 ms to 223 ms.
If you do need your own, choose it on coverage where your readers are, and on whether you can control the bypass rules. Not on a vendor ranking. And remember what stays behind the network: the checkout, the queries and the page weight. Our guide to reducing TTFB covers those.
